Base game values. Difficulty, run time, co-op and events like the Blood Moon raise health and damage.

Behavior

Chases and casts an attack every 5.4 s, telegraphed on the ground. Elites cannot be frozen or stunned, and cold slows them less.

When it appears

  • SurvivalElite raids from 0:30: one attempt every 18–26 s, drawn from 4 elites (at most 5 alive at once).

Maps and stages

Any normal-mode map (the map is drawn at random each run).

Attacks

From the start

  • Vortex

    Telegraph: Circle on the ground

Pulls you to the center, then detonates.

How to dodge: The vortex pulls harder and harder: run outward right away.

  • Shadow Tendrils

    Telegraph: Ring (safe center)

Tendrils burst from the ground around you.

How to dodge: Walk straight out of the tendril ring; the center one comes last.

Entrance

Execution

Executable below 20% health.

Once executable, it staggers for 3 s without moving or attacking, and its health holds at 1%. Get within 150 px and press Execute: a finishing blow, invulnerability, +12% health and +10 gold.

Elements and resistances

No creature resists or is weak to any element: fire, ice, arcane and physical hurt the same.

Elites and bosses cannot be frozen or stunned by shock (shock becomes a 15% slow), and each stack of chill slows them only 4%. Bosses take only 12% of knockback.

Bestiary reward

Every kill counts in the in-game bestiary. Each grade you reach grants a permanent Pickup bonus in every run.

GradeKillsBonus · Pickup
I115+2.5%
II230+5%
III340+8.8%
IV · Mastery460+12.5%

Grade IV is Mastery: it unlocks the full record text.

How to face it

  1. Elites drop a chest. Below 20% health, execute them to heal and open space in the horde.
  2. The dash grants invulnerability: use it to cross warnings you cannot walk around in time.
