How it works

Boss Rush rules

Free build

Before the fight you set everything up: hero, weapons, passives and each one’s level. There’s no horde and no cards: just you, the arena and the boss.

Hearts

Health becomes 3 hearts. Each hit that lands costs one heart and grants 1.5 s of protection. When the boss changes phase, you get a heart back.

In Boss Mode health is hearts: the tree's health, armor, regeneration and lifesteal don't count.

Oath: 1 heart

One hit and it is over. Winning earns grade S+.

Phases F1, F2 and F3

Each boss has three phases, and every attack belongs to one of them: F1 attacks carry on into the next phases, which add new ones and shorter warnings. Near the end the boss enters desperation and holds its health at 5%; then it becomes vulnerable and you can execute it.

Berserk and final fury

Losing half its health makes the boss go berserk, with faster attacks. If the fight drags on too long, the final fury kicks in: warnings get even shorter.

Boss Rush is for practice and challenge: it gives no gold, achievements or progress, and doesn’t count for the leaderboard.
