Nightfall Survivors was born in the browser. The web version — written in TypeScript, drawn on Canvas and with online co-op on a Node server — ran at nightfallsurvivors.com and received 27 versions between July and September 2026, from 1.4.0 to 10.1.0. They are all in the patch notes.
Why it was shut down
In October 2026 the game started moving to Unity, to reach PC through Steam and Android and iOS phones. The web version stopped getting new features and became the behavior reference for the migration: the Unity simulation was ported to reproduce the web game’s bit for bit, tick by tick.
On October 5, 2026 this website took over nightfallsurvivors.com and the web game was shut down. There is no playable browser version anymore: Nightfall Survivors is now only the Unity version, still in development.
What the Unity version adds
Execution, the Void Implosion weapon, the visual overhaul of weapons, ultimates, maps and menus, an original score composed in code, a dedicated C# co-op server and mobile support. The full list is in the patch notes.
What about my progress?
The Unity version uses the same save format as the web game, and phase 7 of the roadmap will connect accounts, cloud save and the leaderboard to the Unity version. That phase has not started yet.
