FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the game and its development.

When does the game come out?

There is no date yet. The Unity version is in development and each phase only ends when it meets its exit criterion. The roadmap shows where we are.

Which platforms will I be able to play on?

PC on Steam first, then Android and, last, iOS. No store has a page for the game yet; when one does, the link will appear on the Download page.

How much will it cost?

The price has not been decided yet.

Is there multiplayer?

Yes: online co-op for up to 8 people, with rooms joined by a 4-letter code. In the Unity version, matches run on a dedicated C# server with the same simulation as the game. The server is built and tested but not live yet.

Do I need an internet connection to play?

Not to play solo. The internet is used by co-op and, once phase 7 is done, by login, cloud save and the leaderboard.

Can I play with a gamepad?

Yes. The Unity version supports keyboard and mouse, gamepad and touch (a joystick that appears where your finger lands). Keys can be rebound.

Which languages?

Brazilian Portuguese, English and Spanish — in the game and on this website.

Will my web game progress carry over to the Unity version?

That is the plan: the Unity version uses the same save format as the web game, and phase 7 will connect the same accounts, cloud save and leaderboard. That phase has not started yet.

Can I still play in the browser?

No. The web game was shut down on October 5, 2026, when this website took over the main address. Nightfall Survivors is now only the Unity version, still in development — the classic game page tells the story.

Will it run on the Steam Deck?

Steam Deck support (controls and resolution) is part of phase 9 and has not been tested yet.

Does the game collect my data?

The Privacy Policy describes exactly what the game and the server store — accounts, leaderboard, cloud save and anonymous telemetry you can switch off. This website uses no trackers and no cookies.

Who makes the game?

An independent team: created and directed by Renan Dall'Agnol, developed by Renan Dall'Agnol, Erick Zanetti and Otavio Soares, and tested by a group of players. Part of the art comes from free packs by other artists, and the music is original, composed in code. Full credits are on the credits page.
