Execute
How it works
- An elite becomes executable at 20% health; a boss, at 8%. A reticle appears over it and it staggers: it stops moving and casting attacks.
- Get within 150 units of the target’s edge. The button prompt appears above it: [F], [RB] or the EXECUTE button on screen.
- The hero lunges up to the target and strikes. You are invulnerable throughout and for 1.2 s afterwards.
- The impact releases a shockwave that pushes common enemies back, clears space and hands out the rewards.

Special rules
- In Boss Rush you can only execute in the final phase, after the desperation, once the boss is vulnerable: it is the blow that ends the fight.
- Cocoons and boss transformations cannot be executed: execution never skips phases.
- In co-op, two players can’t execute the same target.
- With “Reduce visual effects”, the blow comes without flash or impact frame and with less camera shake.
